While Gender Talk and Gender Tension both have to do with gender in society, they are not quite the same thing, albeit definitely really similar.
Gender Talk is the way men and women communicate with each other. It's the way they express themselves, the way they tend to behave. For instance, according to Business Communication Process and Product, most men seem to be more assertive when they communicate with others, and also tend to be less attentive and fidget around more. Women, on the other hand, are much more attentive, and are much more hesitant when talking.
Gender Tension is the way other people see men and women. This is the stereotyping I mentioned in my previous post.
Personally, I believe that everyone expresses themselves in a different way, and that gender has nothing to do with their behaviour. Society may believe otherwise though. What do you think?
